Not News: The Women's Movement has not yet succeeded in getting us equality

Food for thought: Charles Clymer's blog post on racism and sexism in the US. Reading this made me acknowledge that I don't want to be complicit with my own oppression anymore. There's nothing harder than speaking up for what's right, especially when you do so alone. But if it's hard to do, it's probably vitally important to do. It scares the crap out of me! So, time to be brave.

Beyond Eggs

I'm always excited to hear about people and companies who are taking animal welfare, health, environmentalism, and PLEASURE all into account when developing alternatives to animal products. Hampton Creek Foods has me pretty excited to try out their stuff. I want to buy products that support sustainability and health and welfare for the earth, but I still want my food to be yummy. And I think I'm not the only one!
